ABWM of NYS and our National level ministry, are always looking to the future and we are blessed to have the opportunity to support our women and girls. We've highlighted the opportunities that are currently available. We invite you to explore these opportunities. ABWM NYS Scholarship
Supporting our young ladies in faith and deed.
Each year we award available scholarship funds to support the journeys of our young women. We are always looking for support to keep this project alive and well. For those seeking support, we welcome you to download and send in your request as soon as possible but not later than July 1st to be considered.
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS: JULY 1st!
The Scholarship Committee Administers the fund for scholarships. Awards vary with the needs of the individual and the amount of the fund.

Here is briefly what you need to apply:

Completed legible application.

One page essay on one event that occurred during the past year and how it has impacted your faith.

Copies of current US Income tax returns, and other financial materials as explained in the full application directions.

TWO CURRENT letters of reference (an adult whom you have interacted within the previous year and is not family) NOTE: this year we are asking for your reference’s email address, instead of their physical address.

Fund
How it began:
In April 2018 opportunity for the ABWM NYS Opportunity Fund was created out of gifts from the estates of Hillview Community Church, which closed in 2015 and the First Baptist Church of Oneonta, which closed in January, 2018.
These churches left funds for American Baptist Women’s Ministries of NYS as part of their ongoing legacy of love for American Baptist Women’s Ministries of NYS and to use for the development of women when they made the hard decision to close their doors.
They decided to let their ministry live through others by helping to enable for dreams to come true. American Baptist Women’s Ministries of New York State was one of those ministries where a dream came true.
The dream is the Opportunity Fund.
What is the Opportunity Fund?
The Opportunity Fund is to provide money for American Baptist Women of New York State and AB G.I.R.L.S. of New York State to have the opportunity to attended conferences, conventions and other similar events.
What Are the Deadlines for Applying?
If you are looking for monies to attend the April Convention for AB Women’s Ministries of NYS your application must be submitted by March 1st.
For other conference opportunities, the deadline is one month prior.
